The building knowledge and technology have been increased regarding to make room comfortable and healthy, and air conditioning (HVAC) system had been used for indoor control of large offices and other public access buildings. The appellation "Sick Building Syndrome" is applied to occurrences of variety of illness symptoms reported by occupants. Inadequate ventilation and poor air quality was described as the primary cause of illness complaints; in most cases the focus of investigations has been carried out to identify the pollutant like a biogenic particles such as molt and bacteria by air quality monitoring. In this case the study intends to correlate the air circulation system and the growth of microorganism in the room with air conditioning and room without air conditioning (natural ventilation). The research is intended for a variety of audience, including public health and environmental professionals, architect and academics. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Peningkatan pengetahuan dan teknologi bangunan untuk mengkondisikan 'ruang dalam' yang nyaman dan sehat dalam sistim pengaturan suhu udara, telah digunakan untuk mengendalikan 'ruang dalam' yang luas pada kantor-kantor dan bangunan publik. Apa yang sering disebut sebagai "sick building syndrome" sering dikeluhkan, sebagai kejadian yang menyebabkan berbagai gejala penyakit yang dilaporkan oleh penghuni gedung. Ventilasi yang kurang serta mutu udara yang tidak sehat, sering menjadi penyebab utama dari keluhan ini. Dalam banyak kasus penyelidikan telah dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi polutan seperti biogenik seperti 'molt' dan bakteri yang dibawa melalui udara. Studi ini berniat untuk menghubungkan sistim sirkulasi udara dengan tumbuhnya mikroorganisme di dalam ruang yang udaranya dikondisikan dan ruang dengan ventilasi alam. Riset ini ditujukan untuk masyarakat luas, yang mencakup disiplin kesehatan masyarakat, para profesional lingkungan, arsitek dan akademi. Kata kunci: kenyamanan, AC, sistim ventilasi udara.Downloads
