PENGARUH "THERMAL PROPERTIES" MATERIAL BATA MERAH DAN BATAKO SEBAGAI DINDING, TERHADAP EFISIEN ENERJI DALAM RUANG DI SURABAYA

Abstract


Surabaya is one of the cities in tropical region; with the high temperature. The main problem of such case is the indoor nighttime temperature is higher than that of the outdoor. In this research, the wall material of brick and Batako are considered as the main variable, both materials are chosen in the finding materials, which have energy efficient to keep the low temperature mainly in nighttime. This research applies two methods of data recording; those are field measurement and model simulation. Recording of data logger Hobo is used to record the indoor temperatures in field, while the model simulation is conducted by "Archipac" program. This research compares the wall of brick and Batako temperature including the peak temperature, the overheated condition, overheated duration and the material thermal properties. The finding of this investigation shows that brick wall is more efficient energy than that of Batako wall.


Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia :

Surabaya adalah salah satu kota didaerah tropis, mempunyai temperatur yang relatif tinggi. Masalah utama temperatur dalam ruang di Surabaya adalah: temperatur didalam ruang pada malam hari lebih tinggi daripada temperatur luar. Pada penelitian ini, material dinding batako dan bata merah dicoba sebagai variabel utama. Kedua material dipilih untuk mendapatkan material yang mempunyai efisien enerji untuk mendapatkan temperatur yang rendah dalam ruangan. Metoda yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah: pengukuran di lapangan dan perhitungan model simulasi dengan bantuan program komputer. Pengamatan lapangan mempergunakan data logger Hobo, sedangkan program Archipac 5.2 digunakan untuk model simulasi. Penelitian ini membandingkan antara temperatur dinding batako dan bata merah yang meliputi: Tinggi temperatur puncak, besar overheted dan durasi overheated, disamping thermal properties materialnya. Temuan yang diperoleh adalah: bahwa secara umum dinding bata merah lebih efisien energi daripada dinding batako.
